SM Entertainment's male megagroup EXO was recently reported as the biggest selling K-pop artist in Japan in 2014, according to a major Japanese music store.

Soompi reported that in the "2014 K-Pop Bestsellers" list released by Tower Records on November 1, the successful idol group's "Overdose" was this year's bestselling among K-pop records this year. According to the report, the album topped the store's pre-order, daily, and weekly charts.

Junho of 2PM is in second place, with his solo Japanese album "Feel." The album topped the music store's world album chart with all its tracks after it was released in July.

Meanwhile EXO seniors and label mates in SM Entertainment took the succeeding places. Titan girl group Girls' Generation is in third place with "The Best," while duo TVXQ's seventh album "TVXQ Vol.7" is at fourth place. SHINee, another SM artist, is at fifth place with their Japanese album "I'm Your Boy."

According to Kpop Herald, EXO also outshined other bigger names in the K-pop industry such as label mate Super Junior and YG Entertainment's Big Bang.

Tower Records, which is known as Japan's biggest online music store, recognized the group for their unique style in music that has "intoxicated" fans from all over the world. "EXO firmly established its own identity," said the music store.

In other news, EXO has been updating their fans through their EXO-L official site since November 29, with a series of secret photos.

On November 29, the site was updated with a secret photo of member Xiumin showing the EXO-L sign with his hand. The post went with the message "EXO-K + EXO-L + EXO-M = ONE."

The following day, another secret photo was posted. This time, it was of the group's maknae Sehun, also showing the L hand sign. On December 1, EXO leader Suho followed suit with the same hand sign and message.

Fans are speculating that these series of "secret photos" could be part of their preparation for their upcoming comeback. Koreaboo also pointed out that the photos are only being released as a special gift for fans as part of EXO's "A Miracle in December" fan events.

Three fan events were revealed on December 1 through the EXO-L fansite. These events will give fans the chance to chat with the group, win a gift, or meet one of the idols in person.
