YG Entertainment's new unit GD x Taeyang will be making their stage debut not in any music show, but in no less than the upcoming "2014 Mnet Asian Music Awards" (MAMA 2014).

According to Star News (via Soompi), the Big Bang members will have their first performance as YG's hip hop duo in one of this year's most awaited music events that will be held on December 3 in Hong Kong.

G-Dragon and Taeyang released "Good Boy" their first collaboration as a unit in the midnight of November 21 (KST). The song was received positively by Big Bang fans who have been waiting for the idol group's comeback after a long time.

"Good Boy" not only became a worldwide trending topic on Twitter but also immediately claimed the top spots in different music charts in Korea. In less than 48 hours after its release, the MV already received over 3 million views on YouTube.

While it was already confirmed previously that G-Dragon and Taeyang will be gracing MAMA 2014, fans will get to see the two Big bang members share one stage as a duo.

According to Koreaboo, YG Entertainment confirmed the news that "Good Boy" will be exclusively performed on the awards ceremony.

Other artists that were confirmed to be performing in the upcoming event include idol groups EXO, Block B and BTS.

Meanwhile, G-Dragon and Taeyang's collaboration is one of YG Entertainment's two hip-hop projects to be launched before the year ends. Details of the second project were not yet revealed except from its release on December 2 and that it will be composed of three artists.

According to YG United, the duo has already caught the attention of foreign media such as Billboard who commended their vocal and rap skills.

MAMA 2014 will be aired internationally via Mnet and other CJ E&M channels.
