Celebrity meltdowns aren't the biggest news in the world, but a meltdown on this level is sure to make many headlines. Former child star Amanda Bynes has reportedly suffered a massive meltdown- first, according to TMZ, she "attacked" her father and accused him of abusing her both physically and sexually.

But her siblings fired back in their father's defense, claiming that he was innocent and that Amanda is making up these accusations out of whole cloth.

Said the siblings, Jillian O'Keefe and Tommy Bynes: "We are disturbed beyond words that Amanda would come up with such a fabrication as a way to avoid getting much needed help or treatment."

The two siblings added that their parents are "the most wonderful parents who have ever lived." And later, "We are pained by [Amanda's] behavior but we absolutely give our full unconditional love and support to our wonderful parents."

According to TMZ, the accusations first came out after Amanda found out her parents were coming to take her to rehab. But after the siblings fought back, Amanda tweeted an apology and took back the statement... sort of.

"My dad never did any of those things The microchip in my brain made me say those things but he's the one that ordered them to microchip me."

Clearly, she's still very much in need of help.

Which, luckily, she's been given, because according to a later TMZ update, Amanda has been placed in 72 hours of involuntary psychiatric care. Hopefully this will be the beginning of the long stay in mental health facilities needed to help Amanda Bynes get through whatever she's going through. According to TMZ, the hold can be extended through 14 days, which should definitely be of help to Amanda Bynes and her family.
