One of television's highly-anticipated shows is set to return for a new season. According to a Christian Today report, the cast and crew of the Kevin Spacey-starred series is currently filming in Maryland for scenes in the upcoming season. Maryland was also the film location of the last two seasons.

Although the plot for the new season has been kept under wraps, a controversial guest spot reported in the first half of this year has sent spoiler rumors into overdrive. In April, multiple reports have said that at least two members of the Russian activist band "Pussy Riot" will be making an appearance in Season 3. City Paper said that two unidentified sources who have links with the production team of the show have confirmed that Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alyokhina were present in Baltimore for the show. It is unclear what roles Tolokonnikova and Alyokhina would portray, but it is most likely that it will be of a political nature given their involvement in Russian politics.

The Independent recalled that both Tolokonnikova and Alyokhina had been released from prison in Russia after a 21-month stay in jail. The pair has since made trips to the US since their incarceration.

Meanwhile, showrunner Beau Willimon has somewhat confirmed via a Twitter post about his taking a new responsibility for the show. Enstarz noted that Willimon recently tweeted a photo of himself playing a trumpet. He wrote, "Decided to help @JBealMusic out with a lil bit of brass. (It's safe to say my track will be at 0 dB) @HouseofCards."

In related news, it appears that "House of Cards" has yet to get the same response it received with the US audience in Europe. Blooomberg reported that Netflix failed to capture broadcast records it required to gain in Germany and France, among other markets.
