McKayla Maroney may be a victim of the leaked photo scandal, but she could be facing felony charges for child pornography. Meanwhile, a Twitter user tries to sell new nude photos of Maroney, Aubrey Plaza, Avril Lavigne, and Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting for $250, but many are not buying it and thinking it might be an FBI sting.

Maroney cannot rest easy just yet. The Olympic gymnast, whose photos have been taken down several sites after allegedly being taken when she was still a minor, could be faced with child pornography charges herself. This is according to a Newsweek article that says child pornography is illegal "regardless of who is responsible." The article expounds: "If the average under-18 American is caught in a 'sexting' scenario by law enforcement in most states, they could face these felony charges. If convicted, they would have to register as a sex offender."

Adding to the possibility of being labeled a sex offender, Maroney can also see more of her private photos leaked, as according to Enstarz, a Twitter user that goes by "Fappening Report" might be trying to sell new photos.

Enstarz says that a Reddit user allegedly talked to the Twitter account claiming to have more pictures of Aubrey Plaza, Avril Lavigne, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, and Maroney, which are up for sale for $250 through Western Union or Moneygram. According to The Epoch Times, the seller allegedly posted several new photos on 4chan including those of Cuoco-Sweeting.

Scallywag & Vagabond shares that the Twitter account has earned plenty of followers before being suspended. The Reddit user allegedly continued communicating with the seller using e-mail.

Whether or not the seller has new photos in his possession has been the subject of debate among 4chan and Reddit users, with one user saying that the seller is allegedly using "the most traceable ways possible," says the article. "He's either very stupid and doesn't know what he is doing or it's a trap," one user concluded.

Another user weighed in: "It wouldn't be too hard for authorities to trace him. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if there were some computer nerds on 4Chan who could track him down, if they out their mind to it."

Yet another user says: "If I were to sell illegal things I'd want a non traceable way of exchanging things. In real life that's cash, on the internet that's bitcoin or the likes."

Others are thinking that the photos could be legitimate and that those who have bought from the seller want to keep the transaction secret.

Maroney has kept silent about the possibility of being charged for child pornography or about this new information about leaked photos.
