This year, many iconic Hollywood celebrities made their final exit. The world indeed has lost Hollywood giants, who added their contribution to form the picture of today's silver screen. Their screen personas have changed pigments of people's lives, from laughter to cry. Somehow and once, we became who they were with their characters on the big screen.

So without a doubt, as news flew about their deaths, different generations mourned together within the realms of the internet to relive the scenes, style, and laughter from these iconic stars of Hollywood. People remember them and their screen personas. The internet became a single mourning ground to commemorate the death of their favorite screen characters.

And, the top worth-remembering celebrities that died this tragic 2014:

5. Bob Hoskins

The pneumonia that caused the death of Bob Hopkins, last April 29, at the age of 71, made most of us remember the 1988 live-animated film "Who Framed Roger Rabbit," and his scene with the sexy cartoon Jessica Rabbit. Even a Hollywood hiatus after his 2012 retirement because of his diagnosed Parkinson's disease, Hopkins' 1991 film "Hook" with Robin Williams and his comedy-action moves stay within the hearts of the 90's generation.

4. Philip Seymour Hoffman

Proclaimed by New York Times as "perhaps the most ambitious and widely admired American actor of his generation," Philip Seymour Hoffman's sudden death was last 2nd of February, out of combined drug intoxication. Found on his apartment's bathroom floor, Hoffman caused sorrow for film enthusiasts, remembering his multi-awarded character as Truman Capote. Today's generation will see his grand acting skills on the silver screen with his last film as Plutarch Heavensbee in "The Hunger Games" series, and once again will be reborn as a digital recreation for some scenes of the film.

3. Lauren Bacall

"You do know how to whistle, don't you, Steve?" she said to Humphrey Bogart in 1944 film "To Have or Have Not." With her naturally seductive voice, "You just put your lips together... and blow." One of the most iconic scenes of the black-and-white film era.

Her smoky voice and sultry looks placed her on the glamorous position of Hollywood's golden age as one of its silver sirens. As his son Stephen Bogart claimed, she indeed lived a magical life with 72 films. Even after death at age of 89 because of stroke, last August 29, the Queen of Cool's husky voice will forever linger as a legend in Hollywood.

2.  Joan Rivers

Joan Rivers is one of the comedic greats who said a sad good bye to Hollywood. Remembered for her Fashion Police show and as a style icon, Rivers even cracked a joke about her own death before, wishing a glamorized Hollywood wake and burial with a Valentino gown, crowds of paparazzi, and a crying Meryl Streep. Sadly, Hollywood and fashion world, mourned for unbeautiful death last September 4, caused by a cardiac arrest.

1.      Robin Williams

The most ironic and shocking celebrity death of 2014 that stunned the whole world with sadness is Robin Williams' death by his own hands, last August 11. He left the world with a heartbreaking commemoration for his Oscar-winning and versatile acting skills, from drama to comedy films. Hollywood and the world mourned for the happiness he gave and never had, for being Mrs. Doubtfire, Genuine in "Aladdin," Peter Pan in "Hook," and many other happy screen personas. And the world can only say, "O, Captain! My Captain!" with the sorry and miserable tone of Todd from "Dead Poets Society."
