It has been more than a year now since the "Last of Us" was released on PlayStation 3 and since then it has garnered multiple awards and accolades from various publications and critics alike. But now it seems that game developer, Naughty Dog are already planning to make a sequel right after the film adaptation of the game is released in this interview by EuroGamer.

Creative director and writer for the game, Neil Druckmann says that, "We have started brainstorming some stuff. To be honest, some of them are sequel ideas and some of them are brand new IP". He goes on to say that they have been mostly spending time on ideas for brand new IPs in the last few weeks.

Neil also stated that they only have limited resources and they want to use those resources at their maximum potential. This comes as no surprise especially now that they have announced another sequel to their own video game franchise, "Uncharted 4" a couple of months ago in this year's E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo). Currently Naughty Dog has two teams assigned for the new "Unchartered" game and they also just released the "The Last of US Remastered for the PS4 back in July 29, 2014.

As you can expect, Naughty Dog has been very busy but Neil Bruckman took some time off from serious work to answer questions from the fans in an AMA (Ask Me Anything) on Reddit. When asked for a sequel he had this to say, "If you're asking for a sequel... right now I'd say it's 50/50."

Well-known voice actor, Troy Baker who also voiced and did motion capture for the main character, Joel stated in an interview with IGN that he would love to come back to make a potential sequel. Troy goes on to add that, "If there's a role for me in something in the future to do with The Last of Us, absolutely I would do it, twice on Sunday."

For now Naughty Dog haven't yet revealed when the sequel for the game will be released and if it would stay exclusive on Sony video game consoles.
