Nicki Minaj has recently made headlines with her highly anticipated "Anaconda" video. The music video, which was just released, was observed to be full of the rapper "gyrating" at almost every frame. The video was first seen on her official Vevo channel and is expected to stir controversy because of its sexual themes.

After posting teaser photos off the music video for weeks, "Anaconda" has finally been released. Despite the notion that the popular song appears to "borrows a lot" of references, many noticed Minaj's body, which was amply featured in the video. E! Online even lists 16 times on how Minaj showed how "proud" she is of her "assets," and proceeded to display several highlights of the video. Mashable even wrote, "It's Nicki Minaj's butt's world-we're all just living in it."

The Independent said Minaj's latest video was filled with the rapper "thrusting her huge behind at the camera." The video is set to a remix of Sir Mix-A-Lot's popular tune "Baby Got Back" and showcased Minaj in several bikinis.

The video also had Minaj dancing on rapper Drake's lap, who was sporting a "bland facial expression," describes The Independent. Minaj, who has considered Drake as brother following rumors of her and her Young Money Cash Money Records colleague hooking up, was an odd choice to appear as her purported lap dance client in the video. A clip in the video een showed Drake somewhat speechless after Minaj knocked his hand out from her volumptuos behind following the lap dance.

On the other hand, several news media outlets said that Minaj's latest music video effort is nothing new, especially in the hip hop world. According to Idolator, the expected response was not achieved, as the lap dance was "limp" and nothing new. E! Online called the scene where Minaj squeezes out whipped cream all over her bottle a "really subtle sexual innuendo."

TIME predicts that the video will trigger articles on "sexual objectification in hip-hop" among other controversial topics. The magazine also noted its plentiful twerking and sexual references, and questions whether it was necessary to get across the message Minaj intended to say, which was to celebrate all the women who "ain't missing no meals" while denouncing women who are a size zero.
