Enstarz reported that some of the cast of the Showtime hit series "Homeland" recently gathered for a behind-the-scenes video about the show's upcoming season. Claire Danes (Carrie), Mandy Patinkin (Saul) and Nazanin Boniadi (Fara) appeared in a video, which has been published by TVLine, where they discussed some important details on the upcoming season of the series.

"Everyone's going in different directions. It's going to be exciting to see where that goes," Boniadi said in the video.

The show producers have reportedly decided to film in Cape Town, South Africa for its Middle East scenes. Danes revealed that new season will take place in Pakistan and Afghanistan, where her character Carrie will be working as a station chief for the show's Central Intelligence Agency.

On the other hand, Patinkin feigned innocence when he said that he does not like to know what will happen in the upcoming season. Adding that just like fans of the show, he is playing the guessing game when it comes to the future of the characters. "I love being wrong. I wouldn't be shocked or surprised if there are shocks and surprises," the actor added.

Breathcast cited claims that fans will see Carrie with her baby with the now-deceased Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis), although that would pose as a problem considering that her new job as station chief in Istanbul would require her to be mostly out in the field and vulnerable to deadly threats.

Meanwhile, Showrunner Alex Gansa revealed that the series is all about the "private and public costs of keeping America safe." Referring to Carrie's pregnancy, Gansa said, "That's the overreaching theme of the season."

Series creator, Howard Gordon confirmed that Carrie will be the focus of the upcoming season, describing her as a "very robust character."

On the other hand, Deadline reported that "Homeland" Season 4 will debut with two, back-to-back episodes. Showtime EVP Original Programming Gary Levine was quoted as saying about the move, "In the aftermath ofHomeland's stunning finale last season, there is such strong anticipation for the start of season four that we wanted to give Homeland fans an extra generous helping of Carrie and company."

"Homeland" Season 4 is set to premiere on Oct. 5 on Showtime.
