The paralympic track star Oscar Pistorius was found in a night club while his trial is still on. He is "lonely and alienated: according to his family.

The Sunday Times reported the Oscar Pistorius murder case trial as it cited an unnamed businessman who claimed that the "Blade Runner" arrived uninvited to his party in Illovo, Johannesburg on April 6, 2013.

According to the Guardian, His spokeswoman, Anneliese Burgess, said the athlete was in a booth in the VIP section of a club in Johannesburg's upmarket Sandton district when a man "started to aggressively interrogate him on matters relating to the trial ... an argument ensued in which my client asked to be left alone. Oscar and his cousin left soon afterwards. Oscar regrets the decision to go to a public place and thereby invite unwelcome attention."

Pistorius' Uncle Leo said,"Oscar is grappling with an extreme level of emotional pain that is manifesting itself in some of his recent unwise actions and choices,"

"Those of us closest to him have been witness to his escalating sense of loneliness and alienation. This, we believe, is underlying some of his self-harming behaviour."

The athlete, known as "Blade Runner" is on murder trial of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, whom he shot and killed at his luxury Pretoria home on Valentine's Day last year.

Pistorius made his defense saying that he mistook Reeva for an intruder hiding in the bathroom next to his bedroom and shot her. The council accuses him of murdering his girlfriend after an argument.

While the defense wrapped up their argument last week, the court is adjourned till August 7.

Judge Thokozile Matilda Masipa will announce her verdict before the end of next month.
