Season 5 of "The Walking Dead" shambles ever closer, and speculation has run rampant over which characters have survived season four, and which characters might not survive season five.

The newest scoop involves the character of Beth Greene, played by Emily Kinney. Beth was last seen in the fourth season finale, "A," where she was seen in flashbacks, but not in the present. The character was believed to have been kidnapped two episodes ago, but neither the characters nor the viewers have any concrete information.

However, fan site The Spoiling Dead may have found some proof of Beth's continued existence. The site recently put up a set photo from the fifth season, which claims to show Beth in a hospital gown. The image was accompanied with the following text:

"People on the ground have stated Emily aka Beth is on location. The last time they filmed here she was seen driving out of the hospital. To the left of the picture is a long, blonde haired woman wearing a plaid, long sleeved shirt with a bandage on her right arm. This is said to be Emily."

However, it's not yet confirmed that this really is Beth, as the photo is blurry and shot from some distance away.

The Spoiling Dead also snapped a few recent shots of a car chase said to involve Daryl Dixon, played by Norman Reedus. Reedus was also seen recently in a more official capacity, having appeared in a few "Walking Dead" photos in Entertainment Weekly. In the photos, Daryl can be seen bruised and beaten, and bound in some kind of captivity.

Creator Robert Kirkman has made a few offhand remarks that Daryl may die this season, although it's more likely that he was just making a joke.

"The Walking Dead" will premiere its fifth season sometime in October 2014.
