Latest rumors say that "The Giver" co-stars Katie Holmes and Alexander Skarsgard are dating.

According to an insider, the two are "getting on like a house on fire and she's crushing on him big time. He's a bit of a ladies' man and they've spent loads of time on their own rehearsing lines in her trailer."

"They clicked right from the start and have been spending a lot of time away from the set together," the source added.

The news has not been confirmed by either Holmes or Skarsgard, who play husband and wife in the movie. "Katie's' excuse is that they're playing husband and wife in the movie, but no one is buying it - the attraction between them is so obvious," said the source.

Meanwhile, a report in Us Weekly says that 35-year-old Holmes has recently bought a home in the trendy Chelsea neighborhood in New York. A source said that cruise wanted a more family-friendly place for her daughter Suri: "She is buying in a more neighborhood-y area. The place has three bedrooms, and she needs to do some work to it but not much."

In a recent interview with Glamour magazine where she recently posed for sexy photos, Holmes was asked if there's a man in her life right now. She answered: "I am really focused on motherhood and work right now."

"Being in a movie with Meryl Streep was a huge dream come true," Holmes added, talking about "The Giver" co-star Meryl Streep. "When the cameras rolled, she was spot-on and such a pro. It was just a thrill to walk on set with her."

"The Giver," who also stars Jeff Bridges, Brenton Thwaites, Odeya Rush, and Taylor Swift, will hit theaters on August 15, 2014 in the United States.
