The season 1 finale of Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." left fans wondering what would happen to the covert organization and the agents involved with it. With SHIELD gone and Fury handing over the reins to Phil Coulson, changes are underway not only for SHIELD, but also for its current president. Season 1's agents will be joined by new cast as the show returns with 22 episodes divided into two parts. Fans can expect more details to be revealed at the show's panel at SDCC.

As a refresher, the finale featured Nick Fury resigning his post as the director of SHIELD, choosing Coulson to be his replacement and giving him the task of rebuilding the ruined organization. With Coulson stepping up to the challenge, actor Clark Gregg says that Coulson will return as a very different person, according to IB Times.

Reactions about the changes in Coulson can be expected from those who knew the man in the past, but Gregg explains that he will be "re-inventing and re-understanding himself as a person," as reported by Breathe Cast. According to Gregg, this is important for the new director to figure out "what SHIELD ought to be".

When the show returns, fans will see a guerilla SHIELD with a head that might not be "in his own right head." The series will return this fall on ABC with several original characters and new ones.

Meanwhile, a possible sneak peek can be shown at the show's panel in San Diego Comic-Con.

M Starz reported that according to Marvel's Head of Television, Jeph Loeb, who would also be moderating the panel, a glimpse of the second season will be seen at the panel in Ballroom 20 on July 25 at 3-4pm. Executive producers Jeffrey Bell, Maurissa Tancharoen, and Jed Whedon will be in attendance along with Clark Gregg, Chloe Bennet, Ming-Na Wen, Elizabeth Henstridge, Brett Dalton, and Iain de Caestecker. Autograph sessions will also follow after the panel.

News about other upcoming projects could also be revealed at the panel for Marvel Entertainment. Actor Hayley Atwell from "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" is expected to be there. Atwell will be revealing details about her upcoming series on ABC entitled "Marvel's Agent Carter," says M StarZ. The Marvel Entertainment panel will be on at 3pm on July 15th at Ballroom 20.
