Despite a weak turnout at the box office this Fourth of July, "Transformers: Age of Extinction" is still going strong. The latest in director Michael Bay's toys-turned-action heroes franchise has been the number one movie at the box office two weeks in a row, and is already pushing towards a gross of $600M.

Naturally, the talk has now turned to where Bay will be taking his gigantic toy robots for the fifth film.

Story details have been slim so far, but in a new interview with Lorenzo di Bonaventura, longtime producer on the "Transformers" franchise, IGN has uncovered a few new details about where the fifth installment will go.

First, when questioned about the idea of terraforming, which comes into play in "Transformers: Age of Extinction," di Bonaventura hinted that at how that concept may push an upcoming "Transformers" sequel into outer space.

"It offers an opportunity in the future to do something, for sure. It also offers an opportunity I guess to do something in space if you wanted to, because the notion of terraforming is you can do it in space."

Then, the topic of Lockdown was brought up. Lockdown, a Transformer who is also an intergalactic bounty hunter, is the primary villain of "Age of Extinction," but is also killed in the film's finale.

IGN asked di Bonaventura if there was any change that Lockdown would return in future films.

"You don't really know until you see it," said di Bonaventura. "We learn how cool he's going to look later on. So at the point where we learned just how cool and crazy his introduction was, if nothing else -- that's just one of the great introductions. One of my favorite shots in the whole movie is when he comes walking out of that dark cloud of smoke, and the spaceship's behind him. You're just like, 'What the hell is going on!?' Then you go, 'Holy cow, what a great villain.' We haven't talked about whether he would come back or not. Megatron has come back in different iterations and has now gone forward, if you would, and evolved. We'll see."

Longtime "Transformers" villain Megatron has been killed, only to be revived for future films (one such film being "Transformers: Age of Extinction"). So seeing Lockdown return for part five might not be out of the question.
