Despite the upcoming sentencing on July 8, "Real Housewives of Atlanta's" Apollo Nida was suspected to spend thousands of dollars on a strip club.

"I make money from the videos. One of my monthly checks from the videos is $32,000 in sales. I mean, we make money. I purchase properties. I flip them. I bought my last house at $12,500; I sold it for $46,500. So just do the math," he said on Sister 2 Sister mag as he defended himself (quoted by Enstarz).

"So, it was a party and $8,000 was spent. But it doesn't matter if it's $5,000, if it's $8,000. If that's your vice and if it's your money and that's what you want to do, cool, because guess what? There's no difference -- and I hope you word this right," he proudly said.

Nida was sentenced due to a fraud scam which includes wire, mail, and bank fraud and identity theft guilty plea as he falsified and took nearly 50 people working on fake debt agency to launder up bank accounts. He was founded guilty on bagging cheques from US Treasury, Delta Airlines pension fund, and income tax returns. Moreover, he was also founded to be controlling a fake auto dealership setting up loans for non-existent vehicles.

He was confirmedly laundered in almost $3 Million. He could stay imprisoned for 30 years with a bail of $1 Million and $2 Million he defrauded.

"I take full responsibility for my actions. It was a dumb situation I put myself in." Daily Mail quoted him.

Meanwhile, Apollo had a tough childhood. He explained that he didn't start schooling after third grade. He was left with her aunt since he was 10 years old. On the other hand, he had been imprisoned before due to racketeering on 2004. All these may have ignited for him to befit himself to Phaedra's, his wife, status.

But whatever his excuses were - or all peoples' excuses will be - a crime shall always be a crime and it will never be legal despite experiencing dark pasts.

Judge Charles Pannell set the sentencing this 8th of July at 2:00 pm ET.
