Ventures compete for investors at Florida Early Stage Conference

The Florida Venture Forum will host its seventh annual Early Stage Conference May 15 together with the 4th Annual Statewide Collegiate Business Plan Competition in Florida attended by 20 choice ventures positioned for equity financing.

The conference will be held at the Reunion Resort in Orlando where each of the selected companies will present for 6 minutes to potential investors comprised of venture capitalists, angels, investment bankers, financial intermediaries, and entrepreneurs according to a statement from Venture Forum.

Names on the state of the industry panel include Dr. Troy Knauss, President of Angel Resource Institute; Timothy J. Cartwright, Partner with Fifth Avenue Advisors; Tomas Diaz, flexReceipts' co-founder and chief executive; Richard Licursi, Managing Partner and co-founder of venVelo; Rhys L. Williams is President & Co-Founder of New World Angels, Inc.

The Venture Forum was founded in 1984 to provide managerial assistance and locate sources for venture capital. Since its inception the company has attracted more than 2.9 billion in venture capital investments. The Early Stage Conference has garnered $12.7 million in investments from the past.
