Vivian Imerman, the former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Whyte & MacKay, has purchased a majority interest in South African spirits firm TNB. The acquisition was made through Imerman's company Vasari. The financial terms of the said deal were not disclosed, according to The Spirits Business.

The addition allows Vasari to meet the increasing demand for good-tasting liquors through TNB's portfolio of cream, liquor, and infused whisky. These products include Carvo, Ponchos, Fruit Lagoon, Peacasso, Republic, Fuego, Kandi, and Sally Williams, the report detailed.

Vasari's controlling stake in TNB will help the group build a world class portfolio of liquors and spirits across Africa and Asia. This is Vasari's first investment in a spirits firm since it exited Whyte & MacKay to United Breweries seven years ago, the report explained.

At present, TNB distributes its products in South Africa through 12 distribution outlets. The firm also markets its brands in Zimbabwe, Nigeria, and Australia, The Spirits Business reported.
