German CRM startup Linko bags $2.6M in seed round, buys Localstream

Mobile customer relationship management (CRM) solution startup Linko announced today a $2.6 million seed financing from angel investors. The Berlin-based firm also acquired location-based technology startup Localstream, according to VentureBeat.

Linko will use the funding to form a team of developers, improve its procuts, and enhance its customer delivery capacity, the report said.

Founded in 2013, Linko is a company that provides an automated CRM service that gathers sales data from mobile devices. Chief Executive Officer Mikko Alasaarela said Linko's product is easy to use, not just for the managers but most especially for the sales employees, who are the end users of the product, the report detailed.

Meanwhile, Alasaarela said of its new acquisition: "We saw a strong synergy between the Localstream technology platform and Linko's core product. Automated location-aware customer communication data will offer a huge advantage to sales managers who embrace mobile devices as sales tools".

Under the terms of the deal, Localstream's technology and team will be merged into Linko, VentureBeat reported.
