Venture-backed Windsor Circle announced that it had raised USD950,000 as an add-on to its Series A funding.

Windsor Circle is a provider of software solutions and services for retail and eCommerce companies.

In a statement, the startup software company said that it oversubscribed its Series A Prime (A-1) by over 40%. Windsor Circle had now raised more than USD2.4 million in venture capital and angel funding in 3 rounds to date. The company is projected to end the year with over 200% growth in revenue and clients, it said.

Windsor Circle's Series A-1 funding round was successfully completed at this week's Internet summit held in Raleigh, North Carolina. Investors who participated in the round included  Triangle Angel Partners, Idea Fund Partners and Bruce Boehm, formerly of US Venture Partners.

According to Windsor Circle, the capital raised from the round will enable the company to  transfer to a new office at American Underground @Main, accept new hires, accelerate marketing, client acquisition and development.
