An Israeli source stated on Sunday that Israel is not aware of any decision made by the US to halt a shipment of ammunition to Israel.

Israel Unaware of US Military Aid Change

According to a political source, the Israeli public broadcaster KAN stated that Tel Aviv is not currently aware of any decision made by the US to stop or reduce military support to Israel.

The Biden administration recently halted the delivery of US-made ammunition to Israel.

Amid Tel Aviv's deadly offensive on the Gaza Strip, Washington has been providing military and diplomatic support to Israel.

The ongoing conflict has resulted in a significant loss of life, with nearly 34,700 people killed since a Hamas attack claimed 1,200 lives on Oct. 7, 2023 as reported by Yani Safak.

After nearly seven months of the Israeli war, a large portion of Gaza has been left in ruins. This has resulted in 85% of the population being displaced within the enclave.

The situation is worsened by a blockade that has severely limited access to food, clean water, and medicine, as reported by the UN.

Israel is facing serious allegations of genocide at the International Court of Justice. In a ruling issued in January, it was stated that there is a possibility of Israel engaging in actions that could be considered as genocide in Gaza.

As a result, Tel Aviv was instructed to cease these activities and ensure that necessary humanitarian aid is provided to the civilians in Gaza.

Israel-Hamas Ceasefire Negotiations

Intensive negotiations are currently underway regarding a ceasefire and hostage deal in the Israel-Hamas war.

CNN reported that over the weekend, Israel and Hamas have continued to argue about the responsibility for the stalled ceasefire talks, despite some signs of progress in the latest negotiations in Cairo.

Both sides exchanged blame for their differing views, as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed his disagreement with Hamas' request for Israel to withdraw from Gaza.

CIA Director Bill Burns, who was present in Cairo for the ceasefire negotiations over the weekend, also traveled to Doha to meet with Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani.

According to a source familiar with his meetings, Burns has decided to stay in Doha on Monday instead of going to Israel as originally planned.
