Filipina beauty queens Pia Wurtzbach and Kylie Verzosa showcased not only their beauty but also their heart to push through their advocacies in separate activities.

In an Instagram post, Reigning Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach was all smiles as she helped out God's Love We Deliver in preparing meals as part of the #CelebrateWithAPlate initiative. She joined 10,000 other volunteers and staff in preparing over 6,000 meals just in time for the Thanksgiving Day.

God's Love We Deliver, which has been in partnership with Miss Universe since 2001, is a non-sectarian organization based in New York City. It has a long history of providing nutritious and individually-tailored meals to people with life-altering illnesses and cannot cook for themselves.

She also shared a video urging her followers to always be thankful for all the blessings they receive every day and not only during Thanksgiving.

The newly-crowned Miss International Kylie Verzosa has also been busy in her activities in the Philippines. She spent time with the children of Balara Elementary School in Quezon City where she had a book-giving and storytelling session.

She shared in an Instagram post her joy during the activity and even encouraged the children to read. The beauty queen is a strong advocate for education.

She then headed back to her hometown Baguio City for to host a charity event at the Baguio Country Club, the proceeds of which will go to UNICEF.

It can be remembered that a week after being crowned Miss Intenational, Versoza met with the representatives of UNICEF Japan and Denmark to discuss issues that include maternal and child health, as well as ways to raise funds to assist children in over 150 countries.

In a press conference welcoming her back in Baguio City, Versoza, who admitted to experiencing depression before, also expressed her hopes to spread awareness on depression and suicide.
