Brookfield announces that it has raised over US$14 billion in its latest initiative

Brookfield Asset Management announced that, to date, investors of one of their fundraising initiatives have committed over US$14 billion. The capital raised from the fund are to be used in investments towards infrastructure, property, and timber assets.

Investors in Brookfield's initiative include a diverse group of public and private pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, insurers, foundations, family offices, high net-worth individuals and endowments from Asia, the Middle East, North America, and Europe. The investors include Brookfield's affiliates as well.

Brookfield's fund obligations involve a final close for the Brookfield Strategic Real Estate Partners. Brookfield Strategic Real Estate Partners is a global private fund centered on opportunistic investment strategies in commercial real estate. It is worth around US$4.4 billion.
