'Jane The Virgin' Season 2 News: 'Scream Queens' Diego Boneta officially joins cast; Jane's wedding hinted by EP

"Scream Queens" actor Diego Boneta is the newest cast member for "Jane the Virgin" Season 2 to play the character of Dax. Lead actress Gina Rodriguez has also received a nomination for Golden Globe Awards 2016 while EP Jennie Urman shared some details about what fans should expect in the 2nd installment of the hit series.

"Scream Queens" star Diego Boneta officially joins the cast of "Jane the Virgin" Season 2. According to TV Line, Boneta will be playing the character of Dax, a genius techie and hipster skateboarder who will take a look at Jane Villanueva's (Gina Rodriguez) personal computer and ends up surprising her in many ways to present himself as Jane's potential new love interest.

With Dax entering the scenario, it remains to be seen if he will be wearing his way into Jane's heart or if he will help push her back to one of her former lovers, Michael Cordero (Brett Dier) or Rafael Solano (Justin Baldoni).

Other than that, Golden Globes has finally revealed that Gina Rodriguez has been nominated for Golden Globe Awards 2016 under the category of Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy.

Meanwhile, executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman revealed some details about Jane's love life. Urman hinted that the main character will be experiencing another milestone in the future episodes when "Jane the Virgin" Season 2 returns. Urman stated, "Jane will make a choice with 1 of the guys, eventually, and we will have a wedding at some point in this season." Christian Today has noted.

In the meantime, "Jane the Virgin" Season 2 is on a brief winter hiatus. The newest episode is set to premiere on Monday, January 25, 2016 at 9:00 p.m. exclusively on The CW. "Jane the Virgin" is an American romantic comedy-drama TV series created by Jennie Snyder Urman based on Perla Farlas' "Juana La Virgen".
