Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 has been confirmed to get the official Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade via over-the-air roll out early in 2016. Samsung already dropped three Galaxy Tab S2 models across the globe since October to experience Google's latest software innovation.

Samsung being vocal about its plans for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, is now reported to release the latest Android build to three Galaxy Tab S2 models with number SM-T715 (LTE), SM-T712 (3G) and SM-T710 (Wi-Fi). All models have just been update with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. According to the IB Times, Marshmallow will hits these devices by the first half of 2016, as early as January or later in April.

Among the mobile carriers in the US, T-Mobile was the first to detail Marshmallow plans for its models through a track list. With the carrier's list, it proves that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is indeed coming soon. T-Mobile's announcement is expected to spur other telecom companies like Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, US Cellular, Bell, and Vodafone to give a hint of its plans for the device.

Galaxy Tab S2 is now under the Testing phase, wherein the device will go through the carrier's certification process to make sure users get the best quality software. Afterwards, "Complete" stage will come wherein the software has been approved to launch and is available already.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow will offer key features and enhancements, allowing users to: (1) exercise greater control over app permissions; (2) purchase easily and securely using the fingerprint sensor and Android Pay; (3) experience enhanced battery-life through Doze; and (4) redesigned App Drawer.

The same upgrade is also confirmed to hit other Samsung devices including Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy S6 Edge, and Galaxy S6 device, and Galaxy S5, among many others.

As to other OEMs, Motorola, LG, HTC and Sony have also teased their plans for Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
