Disney's highly anticipated full-length feature animation, "Frozen 2", will not have a typical happy ending, according to director, Chris Buck. Plot details are still unknown, but the most popular theory is Prince Hans's return, this time, to win Queen Elsa's heart.

In a recent interview with MTV, Buck confirms that he and co-director Jennifer Lee have already decided on an ending. They both know the direction the story is going, but Buck also reveals that they still have a lot of details to figure out. Official plot details are still under wraps.

Buck, who has had previous experience as a co-director in other full-length feature animation films like "Surf's Up" and "Tarzan", is one director who takes his movies seriously. He knows how powerful and influential animated films can be to the younger generation, so he takes care in crafting the messages his movies convey. According to Buck, they will be taking advantage of their two strong female leads to address significant issues young boys and girls are dealing with today. He adds that the work they do as filmmakers is valuable and provides them with a rare opportunity to convey a positive message for the youth. Buck and Lee want to make good use of this opportunity. They want the audiences to cry, laugh, feel moved, and have hope when watching their film.

Meanwhile, CrossMap has rounded up a list of some of the rumored plots of the sequel. These include Princess Anna discovering her powers, a female villain whose powers would go up against Queen Elsa's cryokinetic powers, Prince Hans's return and a change of heart, plus a love interest for adorable snowman Olaf. Of these theories, the most persistent is Prince Hans returning to Arendelle after being banished by Queen Elsa for plotting against her and Anna, plus endangering Anna's life. The most surprising detail in this theory is that Prince Hans would help save Arendelle and eventually win the heart of Queen Elsa, a theme that strongly represents forgiveness and second chances.

Other plot theories circulating in the Internet are more creative but less likely to be featured like Tarzan being Elsa and Anna's long-lost brother, and the character Jack Frost as Anna's love interest.

"Frozen" was a huge hit in the box office in 2013, earning a total of almost $1.3 billion and currently ranking as the highest-grossing animated film of all time, according to Forbes. The success of the first film adds pressure to Buck and Lee to make the sequel as promising as the first.

Peter del Vecho returns as producer. There is still no official release date, but Frozen 2 is currently being considered for a 2017 release.
