Samsung, HTC, Motorola, Sony Android 6.0 Marshmallow Release Status Update

Android 6.0 Marshmallow which was first seen on Google's recently unveiled Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P is now present as well on HTC One A9 and LG G4 in Poland. The newest Android version by the biggest search engine company will also become obtainable on other Samsung, HTC, Motorola and Sony devices.

According to Australia Network, a leaked information  shows that the Samsung Galaxy devices will also be getting the Marshmallow upgrade. It is believed that the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are expected to receive the update on January 2016. This will be trailed by Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge that might receive the OS in February.

It was also supposed that in March, the Galaxy A5 would receive the update while Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Tab S 10.5 will have it in April 2016. The only device which may be getting the update before the year-end is the Galaxy Note 5. With this, Note 5 owners will just have to wait for until next month to obtain the newest operating system.

HTC smartphones are also slated to obtain the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. According to International Business Times, the HTC One M9 and One M8 might receive it before 2015 ends. Meanwhile, the other gadgets that will also receive the newest operating system are One M9+, One E9+, One E9, One ME, One E8, One M8 Eye, Butterfly 3, Desire 826, Desire 820 and Desire 816. But there is still no concrete timeframe when the upgrade will reach the above mentioned smartphones.

As for the Motorola handsets, the company has confirmed that the Moto X Pure Edition (2015), Moto X Style, Moto X Play, Moto G (3rd Gen), Moto X Pure Edition from last year, Moto X (2nd Gen), Moto G (2nd Gen), and Moto G LTE (2nd Gen) are going to receive Android 6.0 update. The newest upgrade will also be arriving to Droid Maxx, Droid Maxx 2, Droid Turbo and Droid Turbo 2 handsets. However, similar to other manufacturers, Motorola has not confirmed yet as to when the roll out of Android 6.0 will commence.

The Japanese tech giant Sony has also not given any information on the exact schedule as to when Android 6.0 update will be released to its Xperia smartphones. But it has revealed the Sony Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z3, Xperia Z2, Xperia M5, Xperia M4 Aqua, Xperia C5 Ultra and Xperia C4 will definitely get the update.

As the Samsung, HTC, Motorola and Sony has given the list of its handsets to obtain the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, users of the aforementioned devices will just have to wait for the announcements of the release dates.
