'X-Men: Apocalypse' director Bryan Singer released a new teaser photograph on his Instagram account featuring James McAvoy's Professor X using the powerful Cerebro machine. Meanwhile, Evan Peters revealed that his Quicksilver will have "cooler" scenes in the upcoming sequel.

According to Comic Book director Bryan Singer shared a teaser photograph on his Instagram account showing James McAvoy as Charles Xavier a.k.a. Professor X donning a contraption known as the Cerebro helmet. He captioned the image, "Finishing up the first teaser. #xmen #xmenapocalypse". It was reported that the photograph was taken in a screening theater.

Cerebro is a machine that helps boost Professor X's telepathic powers and allows him to locate humans - specifically mutants from around the globe. According to Cinema Blend, it was revealed at the San Diego Comic Con that Professor X will be overwhelmed by Apocalypse's power as he tries to find the villain using the machine. Although the teaser photograph doesn't reveal much of the scene, it surely hinted that Cerebo's importance in the sequel will be fully featured.

The machine, extremely dangerous to untrained telepaths, amplifies the brainwaves of its user and enables the wearer to detect people while distinguishing them as human or mutant. Cerebro is used throughout the Marvel comic books and is frequented by characters including Professor X, Jean Grey, Emma Frost and the Stepford Cuckoos.

Meanwhile, Evan Peters revealed that his speedy mutant Quicksilver will be highlighted once more in the upcoming film. He told Collider that he will get to do more "cool" scenes in 'X-Men: Apocalypse' - even better than his stint in one popular scene in 'X-Men: Days of Future Past'.

He said, "...It's bigger, longer and more detailed. I think it's an amazing sequence that they've put together. Just filming it, I was like, "Oh, my god!" I think we shot for 22 days of second unit, working on the sequence, which is amazing. It's so cool to take that much time to make something like that really pop and really work." The 28-year old actor added that he hoped fans would enjoy the slow motion sequence as much as he did making it.

'X-Men: Apocalypse' is an upcoming action-adventure film directed by Bryan Singer. It is intended as the sequel to 2014's 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' and is scheduled to be released on May 27, 2016. The film is set ten years after the events of its predecessor and will feature the powerful supervillain Apocalypse as he recruits four Horsemen to create  a new world.
