Google, part of Alphabet company, is looking forward to launch Google Play Store in China. The product and its services will be launched as a Chinese version, to which smartphones can search and download various apps. Google Play Store will most likely be available some time after the Chinese New Year in February, as published reports say.

Chief Executive Sundar Pichai and his top constituents have been wanting to get back in the Chinese market after years of pulling out its services, Reuters noted. With the aim of Google to release its service in the country, the sub company firm intends to comply with Chinese laws. This means that some sensitive contents will need to be filtered, as covered by the ruling of the Communist Party, according to the report.

In response to Google's desire, Shen Si, the CEO of Chinese mobile advertising company, Papaya Mobile, and a former Google employee, mentioned in the related report, "Having a product in China would be a symbolic gesture to show that the company values the market." She even added that Google Play would be a good one for the Chinese because it is not a very sensitive product.

On the other hand, market analysts commented that Google may fail to gain more subscribers because of Chinese rivals, IB Times reported. Rob Enderle, asserts analyst, said in the report, "There are a substantial number of freeways people get music in China that makes it difficult for any service, especially from the West, to get into the market." Further, Variety mentioned that Android is the most-used mobile operating system in China, but users usually use other app stores like Xiaomi and internet companies like Tencent and Baidu.

Given that condition, China is a big market for Google to expand its products and services. Such opportunity can increase the sub company's revenue just like with Apple, which just made $58.7 billion on September 26 last year, a related report said. Official announcement from Google is yet to come if it was able to get permission from the Communist country to launch Google Play Store.
