Nintendo, DeNA Collaborate to Release Super Mario, Donkey Kong as Free Mobile Games

Nintendo recently announced its collaboration with DeNA to release its own games for smartphones. Super Mario and Donkey Kong among the rumored games to be available for mobile phones on March 2016.  

Nintendo and DeNa are in closed partnership so that they could release mobile games including Super Mario and Donkey Kong for free next year, Christian Today picked up the report. The mentioned games are playable only through Wii U and other Nintendo game consoles. Aside from Super Mario and Donkey Kong, there are five game titled intentional to be distributed on March.  Fans supposed that these games are from popular titles in the 80s.   

Nintendo learned they can increase their profit through mobile gaming so they sought the expertise of DeNa to help in this venture, the site added. 

Inquisitr reported that the announcement of Nintendo last March to partner with DeNa created an effect to the stock market. Nintendo's stock shot up by 24 percent when the reports roll up. Nintendo has already announced two free apps-slash-games on the Nintendo 3DS and on smartphones.

Miitomo was announced in October and is available on Apple and Android devices, Inquisitr wrote. Although many fans thought that Miitomo is more of a social networking application than a free-to-play mobile game because it allow users to converse with other Nintendo users worldwide.    

However, some fans are worried because free-to-play is seen as unfavorable by the gaming community, cited Tech Radar. Gamers believe that it is the way "to rinse players" of their money if they want to play the game to its fullest making the game not free at all. Some companies however, remind players that it is not a must to expend real money to play the game, take Pokémon Shuffle for instance.   

Although fans are still in doubt, many are expecting the release of Nintendo games as free mobile games starting next year.
