Facebook releases another new app today that will help users to receive notification from all Facebook-owned app under one app known as Notify.

The app was released by the mobile software team of the company aiming to create just a single live stream for all app under Facebook saving users' time from having to constantly check different apps.

The Guardian listed down some of the apps that can be integrated with Notify such as Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Facebook Pages, Facebook at Work, Instagram, WhatsApp, Paper, and Mentions.

The company explained in a video that the app will "Notify from Facebook sends you notifications from the sources you trust, whether you are a sports fan, a film buff, a news junkie or a little bit of everything."

The social media giant is planning to work with more sources in the future to meet the wide variety of users' interest, especially in different countries.

Currently, there are already more than 70 media partners with Facebook for Notify according to Bloomberg. Among the media partners include New York Times, Vice Media, BuzzFeed, and Bloomberg Business.

According to Facebook, Notify which is currently available only for iOS does not work like any other notification application.

The list of notification that users wanted to receive can be curated by users themselves. This means that users can choose to be notified with just sports news or fashion news as reported by Facebook Newsroom.

Besides giving alerts, Notify also allows a user to share their favourite notification via text, email or any social media directly from a locked screen without having to enter and read the full text.

Notification can also be saved by users so that they will be able to review that again, hence making sure that users are being kept updated with what is going on.

The Notify app also works differently compared to Facebook previous Instant Article update. This is because Notify will send users who receive the notification directly to the companies' website allowing them to drive high traffic. By doing so, the companies will be able to make a profit through their advertisement too.

As for now, Facebook is aggressively working with publishers and even public figures in order to bring better content to its users from Notify.

The aim of Notify is to make sure that users will be updated not only with their friend's post alone but also with other update going around the world. Facebook expected that Notify will be used by 1.5 billion users in the US alone starting today.
