Some gamers were certainly a bit disappointed with the lack of split-screen in "Halo 5: Guardians," and 343 Industries know just how important it is to keep fans satisfied. Hence they're planning to once again set up a split-screen feature in "Halo 6." Furthermore, Frank O'Connor has released statements about the current installment's missing feature.

According to Yibada, developer 343 Industries is reassuring fans that the split-screen feature will be back, only that it will be in "Halo 6." The company admitted that such feature is impossible to patch in "Halo 5: Guardians," but they're reportedly willing to change whatever needs to be changed to keep fans happy.

Reports have it that the main reason is due to "Halo 5's" creation, which has 60 FPS tied into its physics engine of the game itself. As a result, gamers can't just enter into split-screen mode and cut the frame rate without destabilizing pretty much everything about how the game works.

As for the possible existence of "Halo 6," Latinos Health reported that the next installment might set up the idea of an impending battle between the AIs and all organic life. The ending of "Halo 5" shows Cortana as the new villain, thus many reportedly speculate that she will use the Halo rings to kill organic life so AIs can live. Moreover, there are those who believe that "Halo 4," "Halo 5," and "Halo 6" will constitute a new trilogy; although the plot does nothing to fabricate a new story or even align the three installments together.

On the other hand, iSchoolGuide revealed the statements that franchise director Frank O'Connor release in regard to fans backlashing "Halo 5." O'Connor explained that the phenomena in the fifth installment just mean how things would be totally different in the next installment. That "there are certain features that every Halo game needs to have like a split-screen multiplayer," but, as O'Connor put it, "Halo 5" will never have such feature.

So, if fans were not pleased with how "Halo 5" turned out, there's "Halo 6" to look forward to. From there, they can expect a split-screen feature to be included.
