Miley Cyrus is allegedly part of the Illuminati. The 22-year old's astounding rise to fame has been the subject of various rumors of membership - with her concerts and videos dissected to reveal hidden symbolism and references used by the secret society. Madonna is also said to be an Illuminati and she is aware of it. However, she takes these allegations as a compliment.

According a report by the Conspiracy Club, Miley Cyrus actually represents a very different kind of industry - and it's not the music industry. The 2015 MTV Video Music Awards hosted by Cyrus herself became subject to several controversial comments regarding her involvement with the Illuminati especially since the program was allegedly peppered with promotional spots bursting with symbolism and hidden messages. "Mind altering and manipulation abuse tactics" were purportedly coursed through Cyrus.

Another Hollywood superstar bombarded with Illuminati accusations is none other than the Queen of Pop herself, Madonna. The 57-year old entertainer didn't seem fazed by allegations of her supposed membership in the Illuminati.

According to Billboard.com, the singer-songwriter and businesswoman takes the comments as compliments. She posted on her Instagram account, "If you refer to Tidal as Illuminati, you are paying us the highest of compliments... As I've stated before it is another name for "The Enlightened Ones" a group of scientists, philosophers and artists that emerged after the dark ages. They changed and shaped the world for the better! Do the research and find out for yourself! #knowledge is power #rebelheart."

The rumors emerged right after the debut of Madonna's album 'Rebel Heart' that included the song 'Illuminati'. The track was seemingly inspired by the secret society and borrowed its conspiracy theories.

According to Vigilant Citizen, Madonna wasn't necessarily singing to honor the Illumanti but merely using an age-old media tactic of distorting facts and poking fun at them - and in this case, entertaining through song.

Madonna explained, "There's a lot of talk in pop music right now about people saying, 'Oh, this person's a member of the Illuminati,' or they're Illuminati, or you're Illuminati... and they work behind the scenes and they control things and they're very powerful, and there's possibly a reference to something dark, or black magic, or something like that. And I have to say I laugh at all of those things."

Several conspiracy theories have emerged in recent years concerning most of Hollywood's elite. Other pop stars that are rumored to be part of the Illuminati include Beyonce, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, and Kesha.
