Sony is known for manifesting a 6-month release cycle, thus spectators are already observing the progress of the next Xperia Z6. However, it appears that the company will now break this pattern and will opt to release the Z6 during the second half of 2016.

It's not surprising if customers are already observing the development of SOny Xperia Z6 this early as tech pundits consider Sony's relentless 6-month release cycle. Nevertheless, in what numerous tech outlets call this as a "good move" by Sony.  It appears that this pattern will be altered because it didn't help the company financially since the series gets obsolete in just a few months, reports Christian Post.

Thus, it gives buyers not sufficient time to appreciate their gadgets and permitting for loss of interest in the line-up. As a result, it seems that the tech company is now taking the advice from several consumers and even the other tech giants that it might need to slow down, when it comes in releasing its smartphones.

A report from Latinos Post also states that Sony seemed to be slowing down its pattern of flagship phone release from a two-a-year routine to an annual one. As such, the Sony Experia Z6 will be possibly revealed during the second half of 2016 instead of early next year.

Other information revealed that during the IFA 2015 in Berlin, Sony's Art Director Rikke Gertsen Constein has indirectly said in an interview that there won't be any smartphones that will be release from the company for the first half of 2016. Constein only cited that they are in the works to introduce new phones for the second half of 2016, 2017, and 2018, which is obviously a new tactic that the company has apparently adopted from Apple and other tech giants.

According to Breathe Cast, the alleged Xperia Z6 is being predicted of sporting the Snapdragon 820 and possibly a similar 1080p display that can also be found in the Z5. On the other hand, Sony could also employ a change and decide to unveil the flagship with a UHD display.

Up to this point, there is no word with regard to the specific release date schedule for the rumored flagship Sony Xperia Z6. However, it is said that techies can expect that the new smartphone will be bundled with some serious enhancement to the flagship once it releases next year.
