After almost fourteen years of debunking myths and rumors in the pop culture scene, science entertainment series MythBusters confirmed its cancellation. Discovery's longest running series finale which is Season 14 will premiere on 9 January 2016 in the US.

According to Variety, MythBusters will finish off with a total of 248 episodes, examined 2950 experiments, probed 1050 myths, and devised 900 explosions by the end of Season 14.Testing the validity of myths were done by main stars, special effects experts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman and previous seasons' co-stars Tory Belleci (2004-14), Scottie Chapman (2004-05), Kari Byron (2004-14), Grant Imahara (2005-14), and Jessi Combs (2009-10).

In a separate interview with Adam and Jamie by Entertainment Weekly, both were somewhat dreading and expecting the show will end as the rates dwindled over the years. But the two were happy MythBusters happened and many believed the show left a legacy in science pop category. They were also thankful that the network gave them another season to at least formally say goodbye. The two were known as non-friends off the screen.

For MythBusters Season 14, Jamie and Adam will blow up a cement truck with 10,000 pounds of ANFO and smash a 60-ton tanker with steam implosion, Inquisitr shared. The unlikely duo are positive that the finale season will be remarkable and extraordinary. Discovery Channel also assures fans that "MythBusters will go with a bang" as a way of saying farewell to its loyal viewers.

Few of the most memorable myth debunking episodes of MythBusters include the myth on cell phone gas station explosion, brown note episode which was busted by the show, the popular diet coke and Mentos explosion which was confirmed, different vodka myths, Duct Tape Island, Food Fables such as cooking lasagna in a dishwasher, James Bond myths, and MacGyver myths.

Viewers can still watch reruns on Science Channel while final season will on Discovery Channel next year.
