Barcelona, Spain-based online voting firm Scytl pocketed a $40 million investment from Palo Alto, US-based growth equity fund Vulcan Capital for its research and development as well as strategic acquisitions.

Arusha, Tanzania-based solar energy provider Off Grip Electric scored $7 million in a funding round led by Vulcan Capital, SolarCity, and Omidyar Network to power homes with prepaid electricity.
