Toyota Motor Corp. will display its latest vehicle from the Higlander Series. It will be unveiled on March 23 at the 2016 New York International Auto Show. The Highlander's performance and efficiency is boosted with the combination of new engine and transmission.

Ford announced that the company will devote more resources to develop semi-autonomous driving technologies, as they aim to invest triple the amount of investment in the technologies. Some of Ford's cars already have some semi-autonomous technology in them, as with the updated version of Ford Kuga unveiled along with the announcement.

Tesla has release it's Summon software update that will allow users of its Model S to remotely park their cars. The technology will also increase the safety for the driver.

Growth in China's auto market, the world's biggest, will halve to 7 percent this year weighed down by a slowing economy, the head of an industry body said on Saturday.

German automaker Volkswagen (VOWG_p.DE) group sales rose 3 percent in September to 881,300 vehicles, contributing to a 5.3 percent rise in sales for the nine-month period ending in September, the company said on Friday.
