Finland-based IT service firm Tieto inked a deal to buy part of Siemens Convergence Creators' telecom research and development (R&D) for an undisclosed sum to strengthen its products portfolio.

Finnish IT services provider Tieto had planned to reduce its workforce by a further 5% following last year's job reduction, said a report from Reuters.
Tieto said it has agreed to sell most of its business in Germany and the Netherlands to Aurelius.
