SunEdison is facing another lawsuit, this time from its subsidiary TerraForm. TerraForm accused its parent company for misallocating cash for its projects in India to SunEdison’s own balance sheet.

SunEdison is about to file bankruptcy protection to safeguard itself from creditors while trying to recover from its losses while it continues to operate. At the same time it is being investigated by the Securities and Exchange Commission over possible overstating.

SunEdison Inc. acquired Vivint Solar after Vivint’s shareholders overwhelmingly approved the deal of about $1.9 billion. SunEdison, once the world’s largest renewable energy company, is now facing a financial crisis with billions of debt after massive acquisition binge and plummeting stocks.

Brazilian investment bank BTG Pactual SA (BPAC3.SA) and its partners P2Brasil and GMR Energia jointly sold 100 percent of renewable energy company Latin America Power (LAP) to SunEdison, BTG and P2 said on Thursday.

Solar power firm SunEdison (SUNE.N) and Indian conglomerate Adani Enterprises plan to invest up to $4 billion in what would be one of India's largest solar panel makers, a boost for Prime Minister Narendra Modi as he hosts an investment summit.
