Stratasys, the leading player in the 3-D printing and additive manufacturing industry, has extended its investment arm towards the promising start-up, Massivit. The start-up is just the kind of venture Stratasys likes to support, with disruptive technologies like their proprietary Gel Dispensing Printing and the 1800 3D printer which produces 3D printed sculptures.

British scientists have developed a new use for 3D printing, putting it to work to create personalized replica models of cancerous parts of the body to allow doctors to target tumors more precisely.
Rehovot, Israel-based 3D printing firm Stratasys bought Wisconsin, US-based plastic filament maker Interfacial Solutions for an undisclosed sum to streamline its operations through hardware and filament production.
Stratasyst Ltd. will acquire consumer printer manufacturer, MakerBot in a deal valued around US$403 million.
