Amazon's video-streaming service Prime Video has been launched globally, bringing most of its popular contents to more viewers worldwide. Subscribers will have to pay half the price ($2.99) for the first six months, and the original price of $5.99 for the following months.

Amazon.com is finally no longer selling Apple TV or other streaming devices like Google's Chromecast to boost sales of its own Fire TV box and Fire TV Stick units. The company's plan to discontinue selling competing product was first announced earlier in October.
Amazon is disallowing the sale of media-streaming devices from Apple and Google. In an e-mail to its marketplace sellers, the Web retailer says that after October 29, it will no longer sell Apple TV's and Google Chromecasts. "It's important that the streaming media players we sell interact well with Prime Video in order to avoid customer confusion," said Amazon in the e-mail.
