Facebook’s WhatsApp announced that they will stop supporting older mobile platforms, including BlackBerry, Nokia, as well as older Android and Windows operating systems. The decision would allow the app to further improve its features beyond older smartphones’ capabilities.

The Five app was first released in 2015 as a playful app to communicate with custom hand signs. Mach, an 18-year-old high school student, didn't realize that the app could be very useful to facilitate communications between people with loss of hearing until they contacted them to thank him. Then he reached out to raise money to improve the app for a better use.
Skype aims to help users be more productive with the two new features for Skype for Android. With these new features, users can easily schedule calls and open Office files. Microsoft has been improving their apps, including its popular Skype to perform better in various platforms.
Nexmo, the company that provides messaging and voice capabilities to app developers and enterprises globally, was able to secure $18 million for its Series C funding round.
