Liverpool FC's Ian Ayre is to step down as CEO after his current contract ends next year. The club’s owner has been trying to convince him to stay, but without success.
Yahoo’s planned restructuring plan had started on Wednesday, whereas 107 employees had received a written notice that after 60 days they would have to leave the office. That would be the first batch of what is expected to be a much bigger job cuts of 1,500 employees or 15 percent of the company’s workforce.
Four executives are reported to take a departure from the social media company as part of a major restructuring plan by the new CEO Jack Dorsey. In addition to those asked to leave, some other executives have already stepped down out of pressure.
A number of prominent institutional investors and proxy advisory firms have supported a resolution calling for a split of CEO-Chairman duties at 21st Century Fox.
