United Launch Alliance (ULA), a joint venture (JV) between Lockheed Martin and Boeing, is entering into miniature satellites segment. ULA is planning to launch a CubeSat carrier by mid 2017. ULA will explore business potential in launching small satellites for earth imaging, weather forecasting, internet relays, etc.
Boeing Co and Tata Advanced Systems (TASL) will float a joint venture (JV) for manufacturing fuselages for the AH-64 Apache attack helicopter in India. The JV will set up a center of excellence (CoE) and it'll also be in competition for getting contracts to make additional Boeing platforms including commercial and defense.
As part of its massive restructuring plan, Dow Chemical Co has taken up several measures to increase the bottom line of the company. Dow has decided to review all the available options for its farm chemicals and seeds unit, which has been suffering from sales drop. Dow Chemicals is also considering an option to buy a stake of Coming Inc in a Silicon joint venture (JV). It has increased the dividend payout and is also in the process of offloading its stake in a Kuwait JV engaged in petrochemical products.
The ongoing talks between Airbus and Bombardier have ended incomplete as the former called off discussions soon after they became public.
Accoriding to an ammendment, Amarc can increase controlling interest in the joint venture.
