DigitalOcean, the cloud-hosting site built for developers, obtained $37.2 million in fresh funding in a round led by Andreessen Horowitz and joined in by IA Ventures and CrunchFund, VentureBeat reported.

Menlo Park, US-based scientific outsourcing startup and service provider Transcriptic bagged a total of $4.1 million in funding to introduce automation and robots into the process of scientific research.
InterWest Partners led the Series C funding round for content marketing platform NewsCred which raised $25 million. NewsCred's existing backers also participated in the round.
