Hutchison Whampoa Ltd (0013.HK) is expected to finalize a deal to buy Telefonica SA's (TEF.MC) British mobile unit O2 for 10.5 billion pounds ($15.70 billion) as early as Tuesday morning, the Financial Times reported.

Hutchison Whampoa, a conglomerate controlled by Hong Kong tycoon Li Ka-shing has picked Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs and HSBC to manage the proposed listing of A.S. Watson in Hong Kong and London.
Hong Kong billionaire Li Ka-shing was reportedly amassing funds from divestment in preparation for strategic acquisitions in Europe.
Sources told Reuters that Wal-Mart Stores Inc is thinking of bidding ParknShop, the supermarket business owned by Li Ka-shing.
