Commerzbank posted a profit for the fourth quarter of 2015, helped by lower provisions for bad debts. The bank expects to report a mild increase in 2016 net profit.

Last December, German factory orders dropped worse than what experts had forecasted. There was a weaker growth in the local demand, and the overseas market was not so much helping eventhough there was a slightly slow increase.
Record high employment rate and domestic spending propelled German GDP rate by 1.7 percent in 2015, according to the German authorities' calculation.
