San Francisco-based startup OnBeep has announced a new Series A round of $6.25 million in new funding to build what it calls “beautiful wearable communication devices that unite groups and allow teams to collaborate more fluidly in real time”.

Cambridge, Massachusetts-based e-book deals service BookBub scored $3.8 million in its first funding round led by NextView Ventures and Founder Collective to expand its workforce and services and tap into international markets.
Chartio, a provider of cloud business intelligence for developers and businesses, has received $2.2 million in additional financing from Avalon Ventures which led the Series A round for the company in 2011.
Sitari Pharmaceuticals, a San Diego, CA-based developer of multiple disease indication treatments with a focus on celiac diseases, raised USD 10 million in Series A funding. The fund would be used to continue supporting research and development of novel treatments for celiac diseases.
