Pokémon Go is set to come to the real world in 2016, 20 years after the original Pokémon games has been released. The Pokémon Company has announced that a new mobile game, called Pokémon Go, will be available in both Android and iOS platforms for free by next year.

Pokémon Go is produced in collaboration with Nintendo and Niantic, an Alphabet-owned company. It is a location-based game that seems to follow the footsteps of Ingress, by letting the players track or find a virtual Pokémon as well as do battle and train in real-world settings, which is powered by GPS.

As reported by Polygon, Tsunekazu Ishihara, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Pokémon Company, their challenge was to develop a great game for smartphones that expresses the core values of Pokémon. And that challenge is the Pokémon Go. In addition, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Niantic, John Hanke, said that this mobile game is a brilliant combination of Niantic's real world gaming platform. Their partnership with Nintendo and Pokémon Company is a thrilling step forward into the real gaming world and it helps players discover the world and the people around them using technology.

Nintendo develops a smartwatch device called Pokémon Go Plus that is designed to help players take part in the game's world without having to stare at their phones all day long. The Pokéball-shaped smartwatch connects via Bluetooth, vibrates, and flashes LED light when the player gets near to a Pokémon in the real world. It is also combined with a Google Maps marker pin. Players are not required to use the device to play the game, however, it will make things easier and reduce the amount of time they spend in front of their smartphones to play it.

Definitely, all Pokémon fans cannot hide their excitement to play the Pokémon Go in 2016 anymore. To get an overview, a trailer of the actual game is available through YouTube.
