Crédit Mutuel Nord Europe affiliate company La Française announced that it had inked a strategic partnership agreement with Forum Partners Investment Management. The alliance would have La Française investing in the real estate investments of Forum. Both firms would also work together on new investment products, including the formation of a joint venture that would focus on the development of real estate products in Europe.

As part of the deal, La Française would purchase a 24.9% stake in Forum. Together with its parent company, La Française would also pour USD 600 million in capital to the principal investments of Forum. It would start by giving more than USD 200 million to the debt platform of Forum in Europe. Moreover, La Française would also support the company's global securities business as well as its Asian private equity interests.

One of the biggest fund managers in Europe, La Française has USD 9 billion of its assets placed in real estate. It has a total of USD 50 billion in assets under management.
