Learning Management System selection is a taxing process, but keeping in mind a few pointers can help make the decision a little easier. After you have analyzed and reanalyzed your old LMS and worked out the features and services that you absolutely require, below mentioned are a few factors that can help zero in on the required decision systematically-

1. Support services offered

What support services are offered by your LMS vendor is a good starting point to consider in making the LMS buying decision. Do they have 24*7 support available. Or they have online FAQs. Or do they have an active online community to tackle tricky operations.

2. Customer experience

The next point of consideration can be the customer experience they offer, from signing up for the service to the kind of trial run they offer. Also the time lag that they take to offer expected support, all must be given proper thought. Do they give more importance to high paying clients or same level of consideration for all clients?

3. Pricing

One of the most important considerations for any business remain the pricing decisions. Is the LMS, offering the right Return on Investment and worth of money that is required by the buyer. Are as many leads being generated as were expected. Are the employees able to grasp the training and convert the same into revenues in given time?

4. Features availability

Is your LMS vendor offering the features that you require? The ones that your current LMS doesn't offer. Also how the required features can be properly deployed and give you a better ROI? Also, you should look for the new updates and the current scope of the said features.

5. Updates

How often the LMS vendor updates the new features is also a point of consideration. New updates are required for the better functionality. This also shows that the vendor takes the suggestions of the customers seriously, and tries to include those in updates. Is the vendor charging extra for the natural updates or they come within the package.

6. Credentials

The credentials or the names that your LMS vendor has worked with in the past can provide you with the knowledge as to what kinds of businesses have they catered to in the past. Credentials also generate a level of confidence or trust in the service, that they will be able to provide you with the required level service. The reviews whether online or offline should be taken into account before committing to any LMS.

7. Implementation

You should have a conversation with your vendor regarding, when you want to launch your Employee Training Software, and how much assistance are they willing to provide and if they can stick to your pre-decided launch date. Question you can ask here can be, Will the implementation of LMS be too much hassle for you to handle?

8. LMS Upkeep

The point of consideration for you to choose upon your LMS vendor can be the kind of maintenance required for LMS. For example, the amount of time it takes to load the updates is important to note before taking this decision. In some cases the updates need to be manually downloaded, this should be communicated beforehand. Also, how the downtime can be utilized and other glitches can be resolved.

Considering all the above mentioned points for decision making, it is required that you ask the question: is the LMS I am buying worth all the time, money and manpower? And is it giving me the required results economically, practically, and psychologically as well. LMS such as Trainual, are a good value for money considering all the above mentioned points.
